Archive USAID History
The Center for Development History is building an oral history of USAID so we don’t lose our nation’s precious history to Trump’s lies. If you’re a USAID veteran willing to share your story, or a volunteer willing to help conduct interviews, visit this link.
Democracy Summer 2025 Fellowship Application
The Democracy Summer project trains and deploys the next generation of Democratic organizers and leaders to win elections all over America. Democracy Summer engages high school and college-aged young people in state-of-the-art tactics in voter registration, canvassing and digital political organizing. (Link here)
Calling Congress
Want to express your concerns to Congress? Use our custom Senate call sheet with phone numbers and zip codes to call any member of the U.S. Senate. Remember, you can call any member you want, not just the ones who you vote for. Happy calling! (Here’s a helpful script you can use).
Graphic Design Support
In future editions of Organize DC, we’ll be including more resources for Organizers to start their own protests. We’re working to include a directory of pro-bono graphic designers so new protest organizers can have access to good-looking promotional materials. If you or someone you know is interested- email organizewashdc@gmail.com .
Grassroots Organizations Directory
To fulfill Organize DC’s mission of supporting coordination and collaboration between grassroots groups, we are working to build a Grassroots Directory. This would include contact information of all anti-Trump protest organizations in the DMV area, with the goal of easing communication across our vast network. We hope this will allow organizer-level collaboration on future protests, as well as increase protester turnout across the board. If your anti-Trump organization would like to be listed on this directory, please email us at organizewashdc@gmail.com .
Book Rec
One of the greatest challenges for grassroots organizers is crafting a positive organizational culture, especially for those without a background in management-type roles. That’s why this week we’re recommending “The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups” by Daniel Coyle. The Culture Code breaks down what goes into some of the world’s most successful organizations, from the Navy SEALs, to the Upright Citizens Brigade improv comedy troop. This includes stories of successes, failures, and strategies that might work for you in your work to organize against the MAGA agenda.
